Key facts
- Visual performance judged first
- GIA reports for natural, IGI or GIA for lab-grown
- Side-by-side comparison before you decide
- Filmed on a GemLightbox Pro for remote buyers
- Every piece inspected before delivery
- Selection complimentary with your diamond purchase
What are the steps?
- Understand your goals: budget, style, timing and what matters most to you.
- Explain the options, including the trade-offs between natural and lab-grown diamonds.
- Shortlist diamonds from our in-stock range, or source them through our trade network.
- Compare the shortlist side by side, in person or on a video call.
- Review the design, with CAD where the piece needs it.
- Make the piece with our in-house jewellers or a trusted manufacturing partner.
- Inspect it against the agreed specification before collection or delivery.
Why not choose from the grading report alone?
Two diamonds with the same grades can look very different. A report records cut, colour, clarity and carat, but not how brightly a stone returns light or where an inclusion sits against the claws of a setting. We look at every diamond before we recommend it.
What do we look at?
- Brightness and fire under the same light
- Proportions, and how large the diamond faces up for its weight
- Where inclusions sit, and whether they are visible to the eye
- Colour against the metal it will be set in
- For fancy shapes: bow-tie, outline and symmetry
The grades behind these checks are explained in the four Cs.
How do remote customers see the diamonds?
We photograph and film each shortlisted diamond on a GemLightbox Pro, which shows every stone under the same lighting. We walk you through the footage on a video call and send the grading report with it. See buying from anywhere in Australia.
How do we advise on natural or lab-grown?
Neither is better; it comes down to what matters most to you. Natural diamonds are valued for their geological rarity, while lab-grown diamonds have the same physical, chemical and optical properties at a lower price. We show both, explain the trade-offs and leave the choice with you. Natural and lab-grown compared.
What standards do we follow?
Natural and lab-grown diamonds come with reports from internationally recognised laboratories where applicable. We follow Australian Consumer Law, and our manufacturer’s warranty operates in addition to your consumer guarantees. See care and warranty.
