Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, not simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite. Only specialist laboratory equipment can tell them apart from natural diamonds, which is why grading reports state the origin.
Lab-grown or natural: which should you choose?
Neither is better. It comes down to what matters most to you. Lab-grown diamonds give you more size or quality within a budget. Natural diamonds are valued for their geological rarity.

At CTJ, lab-grown diamond studs start from $690 a pair, tennis bracelets from $2,700 and solitaire pendants from $390. Loose lab-grown diamonds are quoted individually.
